The Patio Hearth

White looks great with any color, and here it brings the natural beauty of the stone facing used in this outdoor fireplace design. Autumn Blend always looks good, but pairing it with white pulls it’s earthy drama to the forefront. It’s crisp and clean, but colorful. This stone type is very popular in Scottsdale and Phoenix landscaping, and while we’ve used it many times, this particular project’s finished look really makes the stone outstanding.

The seat walls are capped with the same travertine used on the patio, as are the end pillars and the firebox opening. The low posts will soon be home to pots of annual flowers and plants to put the polishing touch on the fireplace ‘room’. Add a couple of great outdoor chairs and ottomans, and you’ve got an inviting patio hearth that is separate from the main outdoor living space.

Overall, the mood is casual here. It’s definitely a sharp looking outdoor fireplace. Phoenix and Scottsdale gas-burning fireplaces like this one are an everyday thing at Desert Crest – we are highly seasoned at designing and building them. This particular fireplace project is gas-burning. We can make them wood-burning, and dual-fuel too.
